Swell and Grand

Aunt sent us some family letters and photos from a couple of generations back. It was interesting to see how people handled communication back then. The vocabulary hasn't changed that much - just enough to be slightly weird.
Anyhow, amongst the jumble were these which I thought rather interesting. Uncle in Saigon 1963-64 and Grandma in 'Why,' Arizona 1971...

So, here's one of my favourite songs from the 90's. I used to listen to it on loop driving back and forth to UMass. It is forever linked in my mind to the big dig!

Why did they give me a degree in art? I clearly can't paint even a basic picture anymore. Soooo annoying

Since our other one is doing so well, I planted a Japanese Aralia in the pot over Ernie. I'm sure that I will have to find it a bed fairly soon, but it looks rather lovely for just now...

It's getting hot out there. Mosquitoes are arriving, Clovis is laying on the bare tile and I have dirt under my nails...
