Hiding Places

Almost any major place you go will have a library. Even a bad library is better than anywhere else if you need to just calm down & spend some quiet time learning about where you are (for even if the books offer no local history/context, chances are that you will meet some interesting characters).

Here are a few good suggestions for places in Europe - I think this Geraldine Fabrikant must have had a fun time seeking them out. Here is a link also to our library system. Let me know when you're in town and I'll take you there.

Mr bought us a juicer which arrived today. So, I ran out and bought all kinds of produce to jam in it.
This one seems easy to operate and easy to clean. We'll have to see how it holds up over time.

I made a batch with beet greens, spinach, peaches, apples, oranges and strawberries. Honestly, it is very gross looking, but quite tasty.

Contentment

It was a wonderful weekend away at cousin's wedding. We were surrounded by kind and fun people in a beautiful place. Now we are home with full bellies and happy souls.
