Bliss

Yup, I get to live here. It is beautiful - sort of. Well, it is beautiful to me.

Molting invaders

The attic is apparently where it's at for snakes. Which makes me think that it's also where it's at for mice. Yay.

Bang-bangs

What's it like to be 30 again? Modeling my new hairdo after Alexa Chung - it's just like being the same age as her too, right?
Never mind the over-exposed, blurriness and poor lighting - because we look just the same (okay, maybe a touch of macular degeneration is required).
Anyhow, suppose if I had something to wish for in common, it'd probably have more to do with her bank account than her age. That right there probably shows how staid this ole' mule has become.

Anyhow, at least I'm not turning 60 yet (cheers Di - please don't hurt me for that one - XOXO)

Music, games and fast food

A fantabulous time in Atlanta was had by all. Well, by me in any case.

Afghan Whigs @ Masquerade was excellent - wish we'd been a bit more awake and as close to the stage as this personage...

Puppers got me out for some walks. Otherwise I might never have gotten out of my pj's! By the way, he does not endorse or slander Apple products as far as I know. So, no picking on him for his choice of tech.

There was some happy nerding out (or would this be geeking out?) with all our toys. Here's some Chinese food & Skyrim happening.

We also got to see our awesome cousin and his lovely girlfriend. We even got to meet the little critter. What else? Oh, we got to not see 'Murder by Death' Too bad, but if one believed in the fates, one would have to say it was not meant to be. I, however, don't believe in any of that malarky, so will just say "next time" instead.

19 years - not too shabby for a little tiger.

Stomping

Had some time to putter on my way to Somerville, so stopped off and walked around the old neighborhood I lived in for 7th & 8th grade. So pretty - and riiiich. Don't think I'll get to live there again. Just as well - they've opened a Marimekko store right on Huron Ave, so I could waste a loooot of dough there.
In any case, made some great friends and had some happy times. So, lucky me. Even visiting was fun - except that the old school still looks like a prison and the house we lived in is falling apart (the latter was too sad to even take a photo of).
I can't think it's so very rude to take and post people's homes when they look this pretty, right?

Greater Bahstan

Marlborough, Cambridge, Somerville, Winthrop, Medford & Arlington...check:)*

*Also, totally awesome pizza with dear friends - check out the Flatbread Pizza Co. We hit the one in Somerville, but they seem to have 'em scattered across the North East, one in British Columbia & another in Hawaii.

Nuevoyorko

Upstate - friggin beee-autiful + some of the best people live there. What's not to love?

Layzee

Guess I should put up some photos from the trip to MA?
Going backwards, so be patient.
Here's a picture from Philly of the awesome restaurant our friend Agnes introduced us too. Awesome dishes that are different from the same ole' General Gaus and Family-style bean curd without being so strange as to detract. Laid back athmosphere. Happiness.

Also, made me think of Warren Zevon, so that can't be bad.

"I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's
Gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein"
