Why can't you just enjoy it

Stupid human nature. The longest day of the year is sunny & hot - as it should be. Meanwhile my dumb brain just keeps telling me that it's all downhill from here. It'll get hotter and then colder, but it won't be this much daylight for another whole year. So even when it's at it's best, I am too goofy to just live in the moment.
